Three people have been arrested in relation to a serious assault in County Roscommon.

It happened in Boyle on the afternoon of Wednesday February 28th.

A woman and two men aged in their 30s have been taken to Garda stations in the north-west under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

They have since been charged and are due to appear before a special sitting of Castlebar District Court later today.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
