Met Éireann's Head of Forecasting Gerald Fleming is set to retire next month.
The well-known weatherman will step down after 37 years with the forecaster.
The 59-year-old will retire just before Christmas.

While he stopped broadcasting on RTÉ nine years ago, he is widely known as the 'winking weatherman' thanks to his fondness for winking during broadcasts.
According to RTÉ, Gerald is retiring in good health, and wants to focus on other professional matters and other interests.
