Two people have been killed in separate road accidents in Wexford and Kilkenny.
A woman has been killed after being hit by a car in Co Wexford.
It happened on the Wexford to Rosslare Road at Drinagh at about 1:30am this morning.
The woman, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been removed to Wexford General Hospital. The male driver of the car was uninjured.
The road remains closed as gardaí examine the scene, and diversions are in place.
While a man (22) has also died in a road crash in Co Kilkenny.
He was killed when his car crashed into a ditch on the N25 at Gaulstown, Glenmore just outside Waterford city at around 3am this morning.
He was rushed to Waterford General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The road is currently closed between Glenmore and Slieverue for a forensic examination.
