Last Week Tonight host, John Oliver, has reccommended what to do with the Confederate flag.

In typical satirical fashion Oliver suggested that it be taken down and 'put in a box labelled bad flag'.

Oliver also lamented President Obama's address on the Charleston shooting where he says he is a defeated man, something that Oliver strongly empathises with.

Gun control is a hugely contentious issue in the United States and still remains up for debate following the latest mass shooting in Charleston which claimed the lives of nine people in a church.
