Three policemen in London decided to entertain crowds at Notting Hill carnival when they busted a few moves on the mean streets of the capital yesterday.

The three officers - dressed in high-visibility jackets and uniform - began jiving and grinding, and even displaying a little light twerking, before forming a line on the floor and starting to row.

A video of the policemen on YouTube under the name "Notting Hill Carnival 2013 Police Dance Off", posted by MOOF Bulleh, had attracted nearly 200,000 hits.

The identity of the officers is not known. A Met Police spokesman declined to comment.

They stand accused of letting the beat control their bodies, but since they weren't half bad, they'll be hoping to get off with only a light reprimand.

Whethar their performance meets the same standard laid down by our own Indiependence dance garda is a matter of personal choice. But if you'd like to remind yourself of that garda's particular skillset...:
