The US Secretary of State says the alleged Syrian chemical attack should "shock the conscience of the world".

John Kerry said the US President Barrack Obama believes there must be accountability for those who use these weapons.

Earlier, the British Prime Minister told Russian President Putin that there is little doubt an alleged chemical attack was carried out by the Syrian regime during a phone conversation.

Today UN weapons experts collected samples from victims of the alleged chemical attack for analysis and will continue their investigations.
