Both sides in the Ukranian conflict are meeting the US Secretary of State and other leaders in Germany to discuss a future roadmap for the country.

In his opening comments, the US Secretary John Kerry said the US and EU 'stand with the people of Ukraine', and support their 'fight for a democratic European future'.

Members of the government and opposition in Ukraine will attend the Munich Security Conference to discuss how to move on from the crisis.

It follows weeks of protests after the Ukranian President pulled out of a deal with the EU, in favour of closer ties with Russia.
