The Kremlin is reported to have sent the Americans its list of demands for ending the war.
Donald Trump has suggested both Russia and Ukraine might have to concede territory as part of a deal to end the conflict; "You're looking at territory that's been fought over for three and half years...a lot of Russians have died, a lot of Ukrainians have died.
"There'll be some swapping of territories to the betterment of both."
Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy has since responded, saying: "Ukrainians will not give land to the occupier."
In a post on Telegram, he added 'Ukraine is ready for real solutions that can bring peace.'
"Any solutions that are against us, any solutions that are without Ukraine, are at the same time solutions against peace [...]
"We are ready, together with President Trump, together with all partners, to work for a real, and most importantly, lasting peace - a peace that will not collapse because of Moscow's wishes."
