Radio presenter and DJ, Tony Fenton grew up in Glasnevin in Dublin with his parents Brendan and Eithne and siblings Paul, Ann, Colm and Kevin.

He began an apprenticeship as a carpenter in his father's building company, and during this time set up as a mobile disc jockey with his friend and fellow DJ, Barry Lang doing birthday parties at weekends.

He worked for the big pirates in the early 1980s before moving to RTÉ 2FM, where he worked for 18 years. He later began broadcasting on Today FM where he will celebrate 10 years on-air this year.
