Today will be mainly dry in the eastern half of the country, with a few sunny spells. Patches of rain and drizzle along west and southwest coasts will extend gradually inland, becoming persistent this evening and early tonight in parts of the west and north, but very patchy elsewhere. Maximum temperatures 16 to 19 Celsius, with light southerly breezes.

Early tonight, rain will be persistent for a time in the northwest and north, but will largely die out. Most areas will be dry overnight, but it will remain cloudy, with patches of mist and drizzle, mainly in Atlantic coastal areas. Some fog patches also. Mild and humid. Minimum temperatures 12 to 14 Celsius.
