48-year-old Alan McNamara of Mountfune, Murroehas been charged with the murder of 51-year-old Andrew O'Donoghue of the same address last Saturday.

His 25-year-old stepson Robert Cusack of Abington, MUrroe is charged with impeding a Garda investigation into the murder.

Another man, 49-year-old Dermot McKenna of Hillview Park, St Patrick's Road is facing three charges relating to what's believed to be a retaliation shooting in Castletroy on Sunday.

All three have been remanded in custody until Tuesday.
