If you've ever tried to take a selfie with your dog, or simply get them to sit still briefly for any reason, you may have noticed that they tend to have a short attention span.
That does make it difficult to get the perfect profile photo with man's best friend, but one innovative individual has come up with a way to grab your canine's attention that's so simple it's surprising that no one thought of it already.
The folks at Poochselfie have made a contraption that looks like a tennis ball that can sit on top of your phone to get your dog to pay attention, so it looks like they're staring straight down the camera, allowing you to get the best picture possible.

The evidence on the company's Instagram page suggests that they may have revolutionised the world of dog photography, which should really be known as phodography.
The imitation tennis ball simply clips on to your smartphone, and while it's not obligatory that you have a real one to throw afterwards, it's probably recommended that you didn't grig your dog for the sake of a selfie. However, the Poochselfie kit will also come complete with a squeaky ball that can grab the attention of even the most distracted of dogs.
With nearly 300 backers on their Kickstarter page, they are just a few hundred dollars short of their $7000 goal to get this invention out to the masses.
