An Illinois Police Department has posted pictures on Facebook of a thief who unwittingly caught his own robbery on camera when he stole from a photo booth at an amusement park.

Batavia police are hoping a member of the public will help them identify the man who made off with $75 dollars in cash.

He also caused about $75 dollars worth of damage.

The machine has an in-built mechanism that triggers a photograph when it is tampered with. The culprit didn't know he was pictured in three close-ups.
