It's still a dogfight in Dublin West with Labour's Joan Burton, Socialist Party Ruth Coppinger and Sinn Fein's Paul Donnolly fighting for the last two seats.

Former Fianna Fáil and now Independent candidate David McGuinness who received 7% of the vote will have around 3,000 votes to distribute when the counts begin.

He believes many of these will go to Ruth Coppinger:

According to a poll taken earlier this month by the Herald, the Tanaiste looked to be in danger of losing her seat.

The constituency is set to be keenly contested with Fine Gael Health Minister Leo Varadkar and Fianna Fail Councillor Jack Chambers among the others seeking election.
