Fire in Limerick destroys two heritage cottages
Motorists were advised to avoid the tourist village of Adare, in Co Limerick, along the N21, as emergency services battle a large fire on the village's Main Street on Saturday afternoon.
Gardaí say the village was brought to a halt with "traffic chaos" because of the fire.
The fire began shortly after 1pm on Saturday in a thatched cottage across from the local church.
