Renua's Michael Farrington has conceded defeat in Mayo where the first count is continuing.

Enda Kenny has topped the poll and the Taoiseach is expected to be elected on the first count.

Michael Ring is predicted to take the 2nd seat, while Fianna Fáil's Dara Calleary the third.

However, the final seat will be a battle between FF's Lisa Chambers and Deputy Michelle Mulherin from FG.

Michael Farrington says his transfers are evenly split between the two:

Meanwhile, Fianna Fail leader Michael Martin has been met with rapturous applause at the Cork Count centre.

He's been explaining to reporters why he thinks the party has done so well:

The Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin is again "absolutely" ruling out a coalition with Sinn Fein.

And he says he won't enter a government with Fine Gael as a partner.

Mr Martin says he'll see how the seats are filled before making any decision:
