The Public Accounts Committee says it's not yet known if a Garda Whistleblower will give evidence in public or private.
The PAC is investigating claims that over 200 senior Gardai cancelled penalty points for public figures, family and friends.
The Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan appeared before the committee on Thursday and denied that high profile people are given special treatment over penalty points.
