In the greatest edition to vehicular light entertainment since Jerry Seinfeld gave a lift to some comics to a café, British star James Corden has cornered the market with his series of Carpool Karaoke sketches. And now the actor-turned-talkshow host has added Stevie Wonder to the passenger seat.
The sketch opens with a wry skit asking whether Wonder should be in the driving seat, with the singer foregoing the opportunity having left his driver’s licence at home. From then on it’s a quick run through some of the signer’s most popular hits, including Superstition, Isn’t She Lovely, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, and a reworking of I Just Called to Say I Love You, sang over the phone to Corden’s wife Julia.
