Many a worker who ended up putting in a few extra hours in the office late at night only to return early the next morning would surely have lamented the fact that most offices don't have a bed in them.
Equally, those who like to catch the odd siesta would have made a similar plea, wishing for a nice, comfortable pillow to lay their head down for a quick 40 winks.
For both of those people, Greek design company Studi NL has come up with the perfect compromise: the bed-desk.
The remarkable piece of office furniture seamlessly converts from a workspace into a comfortable bed so that you can get a restful bit of sleep, be it to recharge you to get through the rest of the day or to make it to the end of a mammoth shift.
When you're not using it as a bed (as seen above in the main image) it looks just like a regular desk in the office, so as not to arouse any suspicion, folding seamlessly into shape.
It would also make an excellent hiding place if you're trying to avoid your boss because that report you were supposed to write is late again. Possibly because you were asleep.
No matter how you use the desk, soon you'll never have to leave your office again.
