Six people have been brought to court and charged with assaults at the Aras Attracta care home in Co. Mayo.
The six - who were all staff members at the home - appeared before Swinford District Court which was sitting in Ballina this morning.
An investigation was launched into the care home after a television documentary raised concerns about the standard of care.

Western Correspondent with the Irish Independent - Caroline Crawford - was in court and she told Newstalk Lunchtime the case has now been put back for mention again next month.
