Sinn Féin party leader and TD for Louth has become something of an Internet curiosity for his often bizarre and stream-of-consciousness Tweets, covering topics as diverse as politics, Cadbury’s Creme Eggs, puppies, the RTÉ drama Rebellion, and teddy bears. And now a collection of his 140-character thoughts are to be published and sold by the party he represents.
Adams, who has previously written four books about Irish politics, will now release My Little Book of Tweets, which will be sold on the Sinn Féin publications’ website for €8.99.
“This little books shows the lighter side of his personality and allows the reader some insight into his private life,” the book’s blurb proclaims. “The inevitable 'selfies' are included showing that many years experience of politics have taught him not to take himself too seriously!”
Adams, who has said he will once again seek to lead Sinn Féin at the party’s Ard Fheis in April, has had considerable column inches dedicated to his use of social media, with news outlets around the world reporting on tweets as diverse as:

A Twitter account dedicated to illustrating Adams' tweets has also become an online hit, with 'Illustrated Gerry' poking fun at the Sinn Féin leader's stream of updates with sketches:
