There’s confusion over whether or not fizzy drink machines will be banned in secondary schools.
It’s reported a Special Advisory Group on Obesity has recommended that the machines should be allowed to stay – because they generate so much money.
But Professor Donal O’Shea, a member of the group, says no decision has been made.

Shane Hallahan is the principal at the Presentation School in Kilkenny – his school has already banned the machines, and he says there needs to be more of a focus on healthy eating at second level:
