In the North, detectives are investigating a fire at a hotel in Belfast in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The small blaze was discovered in a first floor linen room in the hotel on Brunswick Street at around 1.30am.

The fire - which was extinguished by the fire service - is deemed to have been started deliberately.

Minor damage was caused to the linen room.

Police are appealing for information.
