Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson could soon be sent into exile as the drip of damning revelations about their friendship with Jeffrey Epstein continue, a British-based journalist believes.
On Friday, Buckingham Palace released a statement from Andrew in which he announced he would “no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me”.
It means he will no longer be referred to as ‘The Duke of York’, but will retain the title of ‘Prince’, which he was given automatically upon birth, as the son of a reigning British monarch.
The announcement came after it was revealed that Andrew had exchanged emails with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, months after he claimed to have broken off contact with him.

"Keep in close touch and we'll play some more soon!” he wrote.
On The Pat Kenny Show, TRT World journalist Enda Brady described Andrew as a “human walking headline” and said the Palace fear this is not the last damaging revelation.
“They’re hinting that there will be far more difficult days ahead,” he said.
“I think what we’re seeing now is Charles, belatedly, finally moving to remove Andrew from the family.
“My question would be whether this is being driven by Charles or, my suspicion is, that it is William who is tidying up the monarchy before he takes over.”

This week, the memoir of Virginia Giuffre will be released, generating headlines across the world.
Three years ago, Ms Giuffre settled a US civil sexual assault case with Prince Andrew for $12 million.
Ms Giuffre has claimed that she was the victim of sex trafficking and abuse by Epstein.
She also said she had been forced to have sex three times with Prince Andrew - an accusation he has always denied.
The settlement was made with no admission of liability - but Ms Giuffre’s accusations continue to haunt King Charles’ younger brother.
“By its very nature, it’s a brutally honest account of all the abuse she suffered at the hands of many men,” Mr Brady said.
“Having been trafficked by Epstein, she was always on the record of saying that she had sex with Andrew on three occasions.
“He denies that, but his story is falling apart - hour by hour, pretty much.”

Mr Brady added that being denied the use of his titles may be the least of Prince Andrew’s worries, given the hostility towards him in Britain at the moment.
“I think what you’re going to see is Andrew and Fergie getting close to being put into exile,” he said.
“They may end up having to leave the UK.”
King Charles is understood to want the divorced couple, who continue to live together, to leave their home, Royal Lodge, on the Windsor Estate.
“Charles is quite aware that his monarchy and his reign - that he waited so long for - is being completely overshadowed,” Mr Brady said.
“Charles is working this week, still going through cancer treatment.
“Charles, I think, must be immensely frustrated and angry that everything that he does is overshadowed by the very questionable friendships and behaviour of his brother for years.”
