Passengers heading from Cebu in the Philippines on Sunday, bound for Busan in South Korea, were in for a shock when their flight was forced to turn back.

Forty minutes into the flight, it was discovered that one of the plane's doors had not completely closed.

The plane was approximately 10,000 feet in the air when the discovery was made, with several passengers on board claiming to feel ill around the same time.

With no reported injuries, the passengers were provided with local hotel rooms for the night, with the flight taking off fifteen hours after the initial departure time.

A spokesperson for Jin-Air stated that a noise alerted staff to a gap in the door, while each passenger will be given a compensation of 100,000 won, or just under €80.
