Gardaí are urging people not to share video footage of the fatal assault on Aaron Keating in Dublin earlier this week.

Mr Keating was pronounced dead in hospital after suffering serious stab wounds during a row on Main Street in Ongar at around 7pm on Tuesday evening.

People in the area at the time rushed to try and help him but he was pronounced dead in Connolly Hospital.

A teenage boy, arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday morning, remains in custody at a west Dublin Garda station.

This morning, Gardaí said they are aware that people who were in the area may have recorded footage of the incident.

They are urging them not to share it on social media and to make it available to investigating gardaí.

A post-mortem has already been carried out; however, Gardaí are not releasing the results for operational reasons.

They are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.

They are asking anyone who was near Main Street in Ongar between 6:30pm and 7pm to contact them.
