The number of people signing on the Live Register fell by 2,600 in May - a decrease of 0.7%, seasonally adjusted.

The CSO says in unadjusted terms, there has been an 11% decrease (43,131 people) in the number of people signing on in the past year.

The number of men on the dole fell by more than 13% in the year; and the number of women fell by almost 8% (7.7%).

The total number of people in the Live Register in May 2015 was 345,633 - compared to 388,764 in the same month last year.
