The DUP leader Peter Robinson has announced he is undertaking a major reshuffle of his party's team at Stormont.

He made the announcement on his Twitter account.

Mervyn Storey will replace Nelson McCausland as minister for social development.

Michelle McIlveen will be the new education committee chair, while Jim Wells is the new minister for health social services.

Mr Robinson says more announcements will follow this evening.

It follows a similar move by the Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who named new ministers on his Twitter account in 2013.

Using the hashtags #shuffle13 and #cdnpoli, the Ontario-based PM revealed his Cabinet reshuffle - which included promotions.
