The New National Ambulance Services Headquarters has been officially opened in Tallaght, in Dublin.

The centre houses the National Emergency Operations Centre, where 999 and 112 calls are taken, as well as a training centre.

Dispatchers will be able to send ambulances that are closest to patients, rather than those that are in their catchment area.
