A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a van in Kerry last night. 

Gardaí said the incident happened in Moyvane North, Listowel, at approximately 7pm yesterday. 

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The number of road deaths in 2023 is now 147, following the death of two other road users earlier this weekend. 

The van driver, a man in his 70s, was taken to University Hospital Kerry for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at the time. 

The road in Moyvane North is currently closed as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination. 

Gardaí in Listowel are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has video footage to contact them.
