A man has died in a crash on the M1 Northbound, Co Limerick, in a crash involving a car and a tractor.
Gardaí said the crash happened between Junctions 12 and 14 at Mooremont at approximately 2am this morning.
A passenger in the car, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Two other men in the car, aged in their 20s and 60s, were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
No other injuries have been reported.
M1 Northbound lanes before Junction 13 are closed as Forensic Collision Investigators prepare for an examination of the scene.
Local diversions are in place and the M1 Southbound remains open.
Gardaí in Drogheda are appealing for any witnesses of the crash or anyone who may footage to come forward.
