European leaders will spend today trying to reach an agreement with Turkey to stop migrants crossing into Greece.

The EU's 28 members agreed a common position last night, which would see migrants crossing the Aegean Sea returned to Turkey.

In exchange genuine refugees will be taken from Turkey and resettled in Europe.

North Korea has fired two ballistic missiles into the sea, according to US and South Korean officials.

The launch is the latest in a series of nuclear and rocket tests carried out by the isolated country this year, which have prompted the United States to impose sweeping new sanctions.

Gardaí in Limerick have renewed their appeal for information on a fatal collision between a car and a van - after a second man (23) died from the injuries he sustained last night.

The collision happened Tuesday evening on the Hyde Road.

A 28-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, was the first fatality of the crash.

Two people have tested positive for Ebola in Guinea, months after the country was declared free of the deadly virus.

Both patients are from the same village, where three people from the same family have died in the past few weeks.

A Government spokesman says the area has been locked down and vaccines have been taken to the zone to avoid new infections.
