Ireland is set for further sunshine on Monday, as temperatures could reach as high as 21°C in some parts.

Any mist or fog from the morning will soon clear, and long spells of sunshine will occur through the day. Most areas will hold dry, apart from a few showers in the southwest later.

It is expected to be rather warm too, with above normal temperatures today, widely rising to 20°C or even 21°C.

The temperatures won't be quite that high for north and northwest counties, as well as along eastern coasts.

Winds will be light to moderate northeasterly, with some low cloud or fog at times later near north and northwest coasts.

Most areas will hold dry tonight under clear skies, with mist or fog patches developing along northern coasts. Temperatures will drop to a low 6°C to 9°C, with light northerly breezes.
