Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body on Dock Road, Limerick City this morning. 

The man’s body was discovered on the ground near the Mount Kennett apartment complex early this morning. 

It’s understood the man sustained critical injuries in a fall from a height. 

A Garda spokesperson said that a file will be prepared for the Coroner ahead of an inquest hearing at a later stage. 

Dock Road is currently closed and diversions are in place.
