A man has been charged in connection with the seizure of a gun and drugs in Dublin.
Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau made the discovery during the search of an apartment in Castleknock on Monday.
It came as part of an investigation into serious organised crime in the capital.
A submachine gun and ammunition were found together with a "significant quantity" of cocaine.
Drug paraphernalia and mixing agents were also recovered during the search operation.
The man was detained at Blanchardstown garda station, where he could be questioned for up to three days.
He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin at 10:30am tomorrow morning.
