A man in his 20s is in critical condition in hospital after being found with “unexplained head injuries” in Dublin last night.

Gardaí said the man was discovered on Mellowes Avenue in Finglas at around 8pm.

He has been taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he is in a critical condition.

The scene has been preserved and the Garda investigation is ongoing.
