A man is due in court today following a fatal collision in Fermoy, County Cork on Saturday evening. 

The crash took place on McCurtain Street at 8.40pm and involved two cars.

Following the collision, a passenger in his 20s was removed from the scene in a critical condition; he has since passed away.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and has now been charged; he will appear in Mallow District Court this morning at 10.30.
