A man has died in a road crash in Co. Limerick. The two-car collision happened at around 6.50am this morning at Reens Pike.
A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene, while the male driver of the other car was injured at taken to Mid-Western Regional Hospital.
The road is currently closed for a Garda forensic collision investigation and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact the gardaí at Newcastlewest on 069-20650, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any garda station.
Meanwhile gardaí in Tipperary say the M7 motorway at Roscrea has re-opened following a serious crash overnight.
A man (18) died in the single-car collision that happened at about 9pm on the M7 at Junction 22 Roscrea last night.
Three passengers, two women and a man, were taken to Portlaoise hospital for treatment - but have since been released. The driver's body has been taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, where a post mortem will be carried out later today.
