A man who was assaulted in Tipperary on Thursday has died in hospital while another has been charged for his death. 

The assault happened at a premises Dundrum, Co Tipperary. 

The victim, a man in his 60s, was taken to Tipperary University Hosptial and has since died. 

The scene of this incident remains closed for technical examination. 

A man, also aged in his 60s, was arrested following the incident and was taken to a Garda Station in South Tipperary. 

He has since been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Newcastlewest District Court this afternoon. 

Investigations are ongoing.
