A man in his 20s has been charged following the death of Bruna Fonseca. 

Ms Fonseca was found dead in an apartment on Liberty Street in Cork City on New Year’s Day. 

Originally from Brazil, she had not been living in Ireland long and was working as a cleaner. 

The man is expected to appear before a sitting of a special sitting of Cork District Court at 5pm today.
