Gardai have charged a man in Co. Kildare with stealing money from bank ATMs. The man (42) was arrested in Athy this morning.

He has been charged with 59 counts of theft.

Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation detectives are still investigating the case.

The arrest was made in connection with the unlawful withdrawal of cash from the machines.

The man is due before Athy District Court today.
