A 21-year-old man has died in a road crash in Co. Donegal.

It happened when the car he was a passenger in hit a bollard at Carnashanagh on the Buncranna to Burnfoot road at about 11.30 last night.

Two other men - one aged 18 and the other 21 - who were in the car at the time, are being treated at Letterkenny hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The road is closed until at least lunchtime for an examination.

Gardai at Buncranna are appealing for witnesses.
