A legal action taken by an architecture company against the Minister for Health over unpaid fees has been settled out of court. James Reilly and two business partners of his were sued over a primary care centre they hoped to build in north Dublin.

Airside Clinic was designed to be a one-stop primary care centre for all patients - both public and private. It was the brain-child of the Minister Reilly and two business partners of his.

An international architects firm, trading as PM Group, were hired in 2007 and drew up plans for the multimillion euro 4-storey medical centre.

Planning permission was granted for the site at Airside in Swords 3 years ago but the sod was never turned.

The architects decided to sue Mr. Reilly and the two others in September 2012 claiming they were owed a substantial sum of money in unpaid fees.

The Health Minister was not in court today when the matter came before Mr. Justice Paul Gilligan. The legal action was due to be contested but Justice Gilligan was told there had been an out of court settlement.

The settlement is due to be paid in a lump sum or bullet payment by October 5th. The settlement was not disclosed.
