As the LE Eithne prepares to return to Ireland, it's Chief Petty Officer's been describing the experience on board.
The troops from the Irish naval vessel has saved almost 3,400 migrants from the Mediterranean as they tried to make the crossing to Europe.
The LE Niamh will now take over patrol.
