The jurors in the trial of a Finglas man accused of murdering his uncle have been sent home for a second evening after failing to reach a verdict.
They’ve been asked to consider whether David Cully of Kilsane Road was provoked into shooting Edward O’Connor in December 2013.
The Finglas man admits shooting him in the back as he walked away from a 'straightener' on the Ballycoolin Road but claims he was provoked after the victim made a comment about his sister.

If the jurors agree, he’ll be convicted of the lesser charge of manslaughter.
Deliberations resume tomorrow morning.
