Voluntary organisation Conradh na Gaeilge has released CCTV footage that appears to show two people running off with a banner outside their premises in Dublin city centre.
The video shows the sign, which was promoting new language courses, being removed at 3.14am from outside their school on Harcourt St.
But those clever folk at the Conradh decided to turn a negative into a positive by creating a viral video with the CCTV footage and dubbing the culprits a pair of smooth criminals.
They even took the opportunity to get a plug in for their upcoming course, writing: “Dar ndoigh tá bealaí níos simplí ann le heolas a fháil ar ranganna” (There are of course easier ways to get info on our classes)... gaeilge abú!
