There is a chance of snow this weekend, Met Éireann has warned as it issued a weather warning across Ireland.
A yellow rain warning will remain in place for Dublin and Wicklow until midday, with some people even waking up to flooding in their locality.
“There are better conditions across the north and west, where it’s mainly dry and will be quite sunny today,” Met Éireann spokesperson Donal Egan told Newstalk Breakfast.
“These dry conditions will gradually spread south eastwards through the day, with just a few isolated showers in the north and west.
“With highs today of 3°C and 7°C.”

“Met Éireann has issued that nationwide Status Yellow Ice Warning, with lowest temperatures of -4°C to 0°C expected overnight,” he said.
“But it’ll be mostly dry with the odd wintry shower in Connacht and Ulster.”
While Saturday will be most cold and dry, some parts of the country can expect further rain.
“Cloud will thicken from the west through the day, with rain spreading north eastwards over the country for the afternoon and evening,” Mr Egan said.
“Some of this rain may actually fall as snow for a time in Connacht and Ulster before turning back to rain.”
Temperatures on Saturday afternoon will hover between 2°C and 5°C.
