The iconic Times Square New Year's Eve Ball will feature 288 new Waterford Crystal triangles this year.
The special 'Gift of Wonder' triangles are part of a ten-year long series that will see new designs added to the giant crystal ball every year until 2023.
This year's design - the third set to be added - is said to "celebrate the celestial sense of wonder".
The iconic crystal ball, which makes its descent down a New York flagpole at 11.59pm every December 31st, consists of 2,688 crystal panels & more than 32,000 LEDs, and weighs more than 5,300 kg.
