300 of Ireland's over 50s will take part in a massive sports event in Dublin today.

Participants from 24 counties will take part in the 'Go For Life Games' as part of the national programme which is supported by the Irish Sports Council.

The aim of the Games, the first of which was run in 1988, is "to turn the period from age 50 onwards into one of the most satisfying times in people’s lives."
