Gardaí are searching an area on the Dublin-Meath border near the M1 motorway in the investigation into the disappearance of a couple.

William 'Willie' Maughan and his girlfriend Ana Varslavane have not been seen since they disappeared from their home in Gormanston on April 14th.

The operation along the Devlin River has been ongoing since Wednesday and more searches are expected today.
